Cost To Care For Our Horses

Many of our horses would have been slaughtered had they not been rescued. US Department of Agriculture documents show that over 92% of horses who go to slaughter are in good condition and do not need to be put down. We are committed to saving horses from an inhumane death. In addition, we rescue horses from owners who can longer care for them. Of course it takes funds to care for horses.  Thanks to our team of volunteers, every horse on our properties is fed twice daily.  We also make sure that our horses have routine care: hooves trimmed every 8 weeks, deworming, annual vaccinations and dental checkups. We have the unfortunate infrequent occasion where a horse is injured and needs medical attention. We do not let any horse suffer and it receives proper medical attention when necessary.
