It was a good day. Our Equine Adventure was about patience!! The kids did a craft and had snack and got some riding time. We are so thankful for each moment we have together on the ranch.
In about a month we will be welcoming our first sweet kiddos to the Ranch of Redemption. This memory came up this morning and it reminds me of the bigness of God. How He placed us on the ranch, with the horses we have, "for a time such as this". What we do is simple in scope, but broad in the ways God uses it. Our offering is simple: we show up, we welcome and love our kids and horses and God takes our trusting obedience, moves through it and creates something beautiful. We have new partnerships with our community this year as well as ones established. We are excited, humbled and grateful for the opportunity to reconnect with our kids from last year/s and serve new kids, make new friends, save new horses. New Life. The quote below is from a few years ago and was made by a young lady whose life was made very difficult and painful at a young age by addiction and abuse. For her to come to the ranch and have a few hours to play with us and braid a horse's mane, and be at peace was very healing. We were able to love her all summer and show her that adults care, there is Hope, life can be different, better. ❤'Priceless quote of the day with Turning Point girls: After braiding The Queen's mane, girl says "Now all she needs is a little sparkle." Lindsay says "Actually, they make sparkles you can paint on their hooves." Girl says "OMG!!!! I want a horse!!!".' ... See MoreSee Less
