Well it is beginning to look a lot like Christmas!! As we head into the final weeks of 2014 we have so much to be thankful for and much has happened since we last jotted down some thoughts! Here are some updates:
-In 2014 we served over 50 kids in our youth program. Of those kids, most were in regular sessions through the summer and had 10 or more sessions at the ranch. That is an incredible number of kids loved on and cared for!! We saw some great outcomes with some of our kids, and we are very excited to see our programs grow even more in 2015.
-We rescued 5 more horses this year. They are; Liberty a 6 month old crippled filly, Sandra a spicy beautiful QH broodmare, Padah a 12 year old welsh pony, Sterling a 2 year old quarterhorse gelding, and Rain a yearling filly. All of these horses were rescued from a local kill-buyer’s slaughter pen. They were destined for Mexico’s meat market. While adding horses is a challenge, we could not ignore the specific prompting we felt for each one of these guys. On the ranch we believe every life matters, and these 5 horses are no different. We look forward to seeing what they become. If you are interested in meeting our new rescues, donating to their care, or possibly becoming an adopter please contact us to set up a meeting!!
-We are pleased to announce we are a gold level participant with GuideStar. This shows our commitment to transparency and being as up front and open as possible about where your donations are going, where we are headed as an organization, and the programs we are currently running. We survive on your generous support and we continue to seek ways to improve!!
We will continue to keep you updated as the we head into 2015. For now, have a very Merry Christmas, and enjoy your time with your loved ones!!
